Catherine Logan is a visual artist based in Brooklyn. Originally from Philadelphia, Cat’s work has been heavily inspired from her travels; living in cities such as Sydney, New York and Los Angeles throughout her 20s. Logan graduated Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Her work explores the contemplation between human interactions and how the media has formed our way of thinking as a society. The artist's work is an exploration of personal growth as a young woman, challenged by the current issues faced in an age of social media scrutinizing the female body and the unrealistic expectations placed upon women from an impressionable age. Logan’s work is rich in attractive pastel colors contrasting against thought provoking iconography of the female form. Logan’s work is heavily inspired by the world around her, whether it be the eclectic range of music or thought provoking text she consumes. Artists who have inspired her journey include, but are not limited to: Wayne Thiebaud, Yoko Ono, David Hockney, Helen Frankenthaler, Georgia O'Keefe, Yayoi Kusama, and many more.
